Baby's Development at Week 15
At about 101mm — the size of an apple — your baby's legs now outgrow the arms, and every joint and limb can move. Although the eyelids are still fused shut, your baby can sense light: shine a flashlight on your belly and you may get a wiggle in response. The ears are settling into their final position, lanugo keeps covering the thin skin, and your baby can make a fist and suck their thumb. The tiny heart is pumping about 25 liters of blood a day.

💡 Week 15 tip: Ask your doctor about genetic screening options if you haven't discussed them
Your Body at Week 15
Your uterus is now about halfway between your pubic bone and your navel, and your bump may be clearly visible — especially if this isn't your first pregnancy. The increased blood flow behind that famous glow can also cause nosebleeds or bleeding gums; both are usually harmless, but mention heavy or frequent bleeding to your doctor. You might notice your libido returning along with your energy. Keep up a balanced diet — your baby is growing fast now.
